Track keywords, product names, and brand mentions across the web and social platforms. Get notified when something relevant is posted, see the sentiment, and generate a suggested reply in seconds.

## What Is Keyword Monitoring?

You create **monitors** that watch for your keywords across platforms like Reddit, Hacker News, LinkedIn, X, Quora, and AI assistants. When a matching post appears, it shows up as a **mention** with engagement metrics, a sentiment read, and an AI relevance score. You can generate reply suggestions on the spot, get notified by email or in-app, and optionally sync new mentions into a Smart List.

## Creating a Monitor

1. Select your company from the sidebar
2. Click **Keyword Monitoring** (under Engage)
3. On the **Monitors** tab, click **New Monitor**
4. Fill in the details:
 * **Monitor Name** — e.g., "Brand mentions"
 * **Keywords** — add them comma-separated (press Enter or click **Add**)
 * **Platforms** — pick one or more: Reddit, Hacker News, LinkedIn, X, Quora, ChatGPT, Google AI
 * **Check Frequency** — Hourly, every 3 / 6 / 12 hours, Daily, or Weekly
5. *(Optional)* Refine it:
 * **Subreddit filter** (Reddit only) — limit to specific subreddits, or leave blank for all of Reddit
 * **AI Filter** (on by default) — drops irrelevant mentions; add plain-language instructions like "Skip job postings"
 * **AI Prompt Template** (for ChatGPT / Google AI) — customize the question asked, using `{keyword}` as a placeholder
6. Choose **Notifications** — Email and/or In-App — and pick which team members to notify
7. *(Optional)* **Sync to Smart List** — new mentions are added as rows automatically, including suggested replies
8. Review the per-run **credit cost** shown on the form, then click **Create Monitor**

## Reviewing Mentions

1. Open the **Mentions** tab
2. Filter by monitor, status (New, Seen, Dismissed), or platform
3. Each mention card shows the post, matched keywords, sentiment, and engagement (upvotes, comments, author, time)
4. Click a mention to open it, then:
 * **Open Original** to view the post on its platform
 * **Dismiss** to hide it from your feed
 * **Generate Replies** — add a bit of context about your product, and get reply drafts in several styles (value-first, educational, conversational, problem-solver); copy the one you like or regenerate

## Managing Monitors

On the **Monitors** tab, each monitor's menu (⋮) lets you:

* **Run Now** — trigger a check immediately, outside the schedule
* **Pause / Resume** — stop or restart monitoring
* **Edit** — change keywords, platforms, filters, or notifications
* **Delete** — remove the monitor permanently

Each card shows its status, platforms, keywords, total mentions found, and when it last ran.

## Credits

Most platforms (Reddit, Hacker News, LinkedIn, X, Quora) are included. A couple of AI-assistant platforms cost more per run because they query large models:

* **ChatGPT** — 6 credits per keyword, per run
* **Google AI** — 2 credits per keyword, per run

The form shows the total cost per run (keywords × platforms) before you save, so there are no surprises. Checking more often uses more credits — pick a frequency that matches how quickly you need to know.

## Tips

* **Start specific.** Broad keywords catch a lot of noise; product names and branded phrases surface the mentions that matter.
* **Lean on the AI filter.** Add an instruction describing what you *don't* want to see to cut irrelevant hits.
* **Sync to a list** when you want to follow up systematically — it turns mentions into a working pipeline.
