Getting Better Responses
Be Specific
The more context you provide, the better the response: ❌ “Write an email” ✅ “Write a follow-up email to a prospect who attended our webinar last week but hasn’t scheduled a demo. Keep it friendly and under 100 words.”Provide Context
Tell the AI what you’re trying to accomplish: ❌ “What should I say?” ✅ “A customer is threatening to cancel because of a billing error. What should I say to keep them as a customer?”Ask Follow-Up Questions
The AI remembers the conversation, so build on previous responses:- “What are the benefits of our premium plan?”
- “Now write that as a comparison table”
- “Make it more concise”

Connected Tools
Tools let your AI employee take action — not just answer. In the chat settings, click the Connected Tools card (it shows how many tools are currently enabled) to turn tools on or off for your conversation. Built-in tools:
Alongside the built-in tools you’ll see your connected tools — MCP servers, connected apps, and toolsets set up in Integrations — each toggled per conversation. From here you can also browse the catalog of 1000+ app integrations (Gmail, Slack, HubSpot, Salesforce, and hundreds more) or click Manage Toolsets to group tools into reusable sets.
When the AI uses a tool, the step appears right in the conversation (for example, Find Leads or Enrich Contact) so you can follow what it’s doing.
Tools require a tool-compatible model — if your current model doesn’t support tools, pick a different one in settings. The exact set of tools you see depends on your plan and enabled features.
Tips for Effective Conversations
- One topic at a time - Don’t mix unrelated questions in one message
- Use examples - Show the AI what you want: “Write something like this: [example]”
- Give feedback - If a response isn’t right, explain what to change
- Be patient - Complex questions take longer to answer
- Experiment - Try different ways of asking to find what works best
Understanding AI Responses
When the AI Says “I Don’t Know”
This usually means:- The information isn’t in the knowledge base
- The question is outside the AI’s training
- You need to add more documents to help the AI learn
When Responses Seem Wrong
AI can make mistakes. If something seems off:- Ask the AI to double-check its answer
- Verify important information yourself
- Report issues to improve the AI over time
When Responses Are Too Long/Short
Guide the AI with explicit instructions:- “Give me a brief 2-sentence answer”
- “Explain this in detail with examples”
- “Summarize in bullet points”
