Your brand voice is the personality, tone, and style of your writing. Setting one means you stop editing the same things out of every AI draft — the corporate buzzwords, the wrong level of formality, the phrases you’d never actually use.

Creating a Brand Voice

  1. Select your company from the sidebar
  2. Go to Content EngineBrand Voice
  3. Click New Brand Voice — or Generate with AI to infer a voice from your existing material
  4. Define:
    • Personality — professional, casual, playful, authoritative?
    • Tone — friendly, formal, conversational?
    • Writing style — simple, technical, storytelling?
    • Words to use — terminology and phrases you like
    • Words to avoid — language that doesn’t fit your brand
  5. Save
The “words to avoid” list does more work than people expect. It’s the difference between drafts you edit and drafts you publish.

Example

Managing Brand Voices

The list shows each voice’s Name, Industry, Target Audience, and when it was created and updated. Use a voice’s menu to View Details, Edit, or Delete. You can keep more than one — a formal voice for whitepapers and a looser one for social, for instance — and point different campaigns at different voices.

Where It’s Used

A brand voice applies anywhere the AI writes for you: generated content, campaign output, and drafts produced from an opportunity brief.

Tips

  1. Show, don’t just label. “Warm but professional” means less than two example sentences demonstrating it.
  2. Be specific about what to avoid. Naming the exact words you hate works better than “avoid jargon.”
  3. Derive it from real writing. Point Generate with AI at material you already like, then refine.
  4. Keep it short enough to be followed. A voice guide nobody can hold in their head is a voice guide the output won’t reflect either.
