An Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) is a description of the person you’re trying to reach. It’s the first thing the AI reads when it writes for you — without one, it has to guess at your audience and writes generically.

Creating a Profile

  1. Select your company from the sidebar
  2. Go to Content EngineIdeal Customer Profile
  3. Click New Profile — or Generate with AI to draft one from what the platform already knows about your business
  4. Fill in details about your target customer:
    • Demographics — age, location, job title
    • Pain points — what problems do they have?
    • Goals — what are they trying to achieve?
    • How they make decisions
    • Where they consume content
    • Industry, budget range, and location
  5. Save
Generate with AI is usually the fastest start: let it draft a profile, then correct the parts it got wrong. Editing a draft is quicker than filling a blank form.

Managing Profiles

The list shows each profile’s Name, Description, Industry, Budget Range, Location, and when it was created and updated. From a profile’s menu you can View Details, Edit, or Delete it. You can keep several profiles — one per segment you sell to — and point different campaigns at different profiles.

Why It Matters

When the AI generates content, it uses your profile to:
  • Choose the right tone and vocabulary
  • Address pain points that are actually relevant
  • Emphasize the benefits that matter to that buyer
  • Pitch at the right level of technical detail
The difference is concrete: content written for “operations managers at 50–200 person logistics firms” reads very differently from content written for nobody in particular.

Where Profiles Are Used

Tips

  1. Be specific. “Small business owners” is too broad to change what the AI writes. “Owner-operators of 5–20 vehicle trucking firms” is usable.
  2. Write pain points in their words, not your marketing language.
  3. One profile per segment. If you sell to two very different buyers, make two profiles rather than averaging them into one.
  4. Revisit it. When your positioning changes, the profile should change too.
